a new board and concerns

Hello,
I have a sugestion on a board for THYRIOD, I know we have a board for other treatments, and can post there. My concerns are that there has been topics where NEWBIE'S are posting about IC and they are getting feed back on IT COULD BE YOUR THYRIOD... even when they have been dx'ed with IC, It may or may not be IC or Thyriod, but the post don't include IT MAY BE IC.... It's ver confusing for those of us who has many test done and know we don't have a thyriod problem. I think the Thyriod issues are being pushed much to far.
pleas except my apoligies if I hurt any ones feelings. I thought the icn network boards were actually for IC and it's related diseases.

I think the board is a good idea. I'm sure those with thyroid problems would like it as well. I think some new to IC or on their way to getting diagnosed could get confused easily. There are a lot of diseases out there that can MIMIC IC, (like Fibromyalgia) but there's a place in time for that. In a way, it's kind of like giving false hope, that if it's a thyroid problem, you can take a pill and you get better, whereas with IC, it is much more complicated, because just not one treatment works. I don't mean to offend anyone here, and by any means I don't mean to underscore thyroid disease at all, I have some friends who have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, I'm just saying that a separate board would be good for that discussion. Ok I'm rambling here, so I hope everyone's having a great, pain free Sunday! I know my body's about an hour ahead of where it should be lol!!!

Hi, I also feel that that the thryoid issue is being pushed too much too. I do have thryoid problems but I rather have the board for ic related diseases than a thyroid board. This is an ic board and you are right Cindy.

I think we have enough boards. They can go to a thyroid board or use our side diseases board.

One of the reasons we have an Other Related Conditions board is so people can go there to discuss other problems they may be having in addition to their IC. It would be completely impossible to have a board for each and every potential problem we can have. I will be trying to guide people to this board for posting about conditions they think might be IC related.

Yes I agree we do have alot of boards and they sometimes are hard to keep up with, as to getting to all the posts. I do believe to if you have a Thyriod problem you should go to a thyriod board to discuss it, why discuss it on an IC board if you don't have IC. If you have IC and thyriod problems its understandable.
other treatments is our best option for discussing problems other than IC.
guess maybe things are getting to me and I was feeling a bit nippy.
