  • Log-in on other computers

I have 4 places that I use computers. They are on different servers. I can sign-in on the other computers but I can only post on my home computer. What do I need to do?

Yeah, I'm always logged out at home when I am at the other computers. I can log-in and read all I want to but I can't post or PM.

      Thanks though

That's really weird, I use three different computers. We have our desktop and laptop at home and I can post from both of them. I also log on while at work during my lunch break and have posted from that computer as well. I hope somebody can figure it out for you.
        Christine

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

Yeah, me too. We will be traveling around this spring and summer. I will have internet access at all our places (or I guess I should say may in-laws places).

Must be the server at work. I haven't tried anywhere else but I thought it might be a setting that I needed to change.
              Thanks

It could be that the computer at work isn't set to accept cookies. I volunteer at a little library and even if I haven't logged off at home, I can still log on at the library.

I just realized that happens to me too when I'm at UM... hmmm it may just be the school's server... what happens is I can post under "sacausa" after signing in but it's as if the message board doesn't recognize me as being "sacausa" when I want to see subscribed threads/pms etc... who knows!

Right. I was just about to respond to you, it's probably the cookie settings. If your office set them that way, you probably aren't allowed to change them. You should be fine on the road, you can take the whole 15,000 of us with you.

Sacausa -- Does your school's computer use a different browser, or is the school's network based on UNIX? Sounds like a problem with maintaining state, which is retaining information when you move from one page to another. The value drops out of the variable, basically, so the computer forgets who you are. I might have advice if you tell me more about it, or I might not be able to help at all... but it's worth a shot.
