spinal for hydro
Hi,
I also was put to sleep for my hydrodistension(I wasn't given a choice).
I didn't have any trouble with nausea but I did ask them to put Zofran into the IV drip and that always helps with post-anesthesia stomach upset.
Whichever way you go, I hope the test is easy for you and that you feel fine afterwards.
Good Luck,
Laurie

I usually have a spinal. I have a severe nausea problem with general anesthesia. They do give me meds to relax me.

I had general anesthesia, didn't have a choice given to me. I hate being put to sleep as well, but in the past when I had a spinal they gave me a med that pretty well knocked me out anyway. I had a hard time waking up after the spinal but with the general I wake up easier. It doesn't make me sick like some people. Not really any help but just my experience.

Should I get a spinal or anesthesia for hydro?
Hi all,
I'm wondering what folks here have chosen when they've gotten hydro-distentions. My doctor said it will be ok for me to do a spinal if I want. I'm just wondering what the advantages and disadvantages are. I hate being put to sleep! My surgery is scheduled for April.
Any help would be appreciated. If there is another board or place on this site that can give me some answers, please let me know.
Thank you!Tags: None
