  • Cysto/hydro only hold 1 cup

Home from Cysto/hydro.. it went well but they broke a vein putting in the IV so had to be pricked again --Ouch..
Urologist said my bladder is very tiny and even with expansion can only hold 1 cup... I will see him again in May. He said a normal bladder can hold 4 cups..Oh my land I can't even imagine that lol...

I was so dopey did not think to ask any questions.. I already know I have IC and I have a small bladder

I still have a bit of bleeding but it has let up .. Said if it continued for more then 48 hours to call my family Dr..
God brought me to it, He will bring me through it!!!

I am glad the your hydro went well, other than the vein problem. I hate it when that happens!! Sorry to hear that your capacity is so low. Were they doing the cysto to see where you are now? I hope that you don't have anymore of the bleeding and recover soon.

Are you and your Dr planning to change your treatment plan? I hope things go well for you while recovering.

Hi, I had it done to check on things and hopefully get a bit of relief but with one cup that is not going to happen.. I did 5 dmso treatments before surgery..
I am really sensitive to meds.. I can't take Elmiron, pyridium, Detrol I can take when needed but it constipates me..
The bleeding has stopped-- still hurts to pee and my throat is still sore but that is all normal..
I guess I will find out more when I see uro again in May..
      thanks for your reply

Even if your capacity is small, it could still help with pain levels. I hope you recover quickly so you'll know.

        Warm hugs,
