hi everyone,
i was diagnosed with IC one month ago, when i had a cystoscopy done. i remember he squirted some water in there (because he explained the bubbles we saw on the screen) and took a biopsy with a tiny needle.
i was given an rx for 100mg elmiron 3x daily and 10 mg amitryptaline, but only filled the elmiron. that's because i know ic flares and such can be linked to stress and anxiety issues which i have TONS of. being diagnosed made me take charge of my mental health too, so i am also seeing a therapist and a psych and can happily say that my mind feels healthier but my bladder is not. i did not want to take an antidepressant that may not have been right for me to begin with.
moving on....
starting about 5 days ago ive been experiencing some small bladder leaks. its humiliating and uncomfortable to worry all day if im going to pee myself and not know it again. im also experiencing hesitancy.
could it be from the cystoscopy and water?
