  • 2nd Hydro -caving

I had great relief from my first Hydro that was done. Then I went to a UroGyno who gave me instills. I wish I didn't do them since at the time I was feeling like I was in remission. Now the instills (did 2) made me 100 times worse. I have been on every med as well I believe. I am dying lately. I was running, doing olympic weightlifting, training hard in general. Walking down stairs now makes me feel like I am leaking and I have pain. I think I need to do another hydro to maybe reset things? make sense?

I am having stem cell treatment done in October but there is no way I can hold out for that and if it doesn't work I would just be suffering.Plus it can take up to 2 years for stem cells to fully work.

My first hydro was May9th of this year. I believe it is the only thing that helps. Hope it will be the same relief I had. I just started a new job so taking time off is going to be tough. I hope I can have it done on a Thurs so I can recover friday-sunday.

I have read you get them a lot. Is this to soon to do one again do you think? Does every one you have help just as same as ones that worked for you prior?

I have never been THIS bad and I have had IC since I was 6 (35 in 2 weeks)

There used to be a lady on the forums regularly who had hydrodistentions every two or three months. The shortest time I have gone is six months --- I usually go about a year.

I have been in remission for eight years after my first hydro. I feel that it and Elavil saved my life or at least my sanity.

I believe I would have been in remission still if I didn't have those awful instills. I had immediate issues after the 2nd one and have been in a month long flare with extreme spasms. I have been on many meds to try to relive this issue and nothing has worked. Elavil made me gain 10 pounds in a month. It also makes me get up all hours of the night to pee, I usually do not get up at night on ambien.

I hope this one works again. With my luck lately I might be doomed. I am so bad right now I am desperate for relief. Pain meds don't help and I just keep getting different meds shoved in my face to try to fix what this doctor did with the cocktail of meds. Maybe by some miracle the pain won't be as bad. I had no idea how bad it was going to hurt BUT after a week I was happy I did it.

I hope this will work again and I bet it does. As soon as I'm out of remission I'll get another one. I'd like to think this remission will last forever but know there's not much chance of that.
