    Today!

I can't offer much advice, but I'm leaving my house to drive about two hours to the hospital that is performing mine today. Good luck to us both!!!

I had my first last Friday. It really wasn't bad at all. If you are on a 9 for pain right now it'll probably be a piece of cake compared. The hardest part for me was the no eating or drinking the night and morning before heh. When I woke up in recovery I had a massive headache but they took care of that really fast. I wasn't in any pain other than that. I had to pee before I left and it was sore but nothing I would even take a pain pill for. The following week sucked a little. I had a anesthesia hangover for a week. Basically felt like the flu. By midweek I started to have a little pain but a Nucynta made it go away completely. My best advice to you would be to take an easy for a week after even if you feel fine. Since I didn't have any pain I made the dumb mistake of cleaning. I then went to take a shower and passed out. Just because it may not seem like an intense procedure doesn't mean you shouldn't act like it was. But in summary living with IC made it seem like child's play for me. Best of luck!

I had my last one in May. I always plan to take it very easy for a few days after a hydro. I like to schedule early in the day so the no food or drink isn't as difficult.

I hope both of you do well and that you are helped as much as I always am.

        Sending gentle hugs,
        Donna

          I'm home.

          So, I'm home, ladies. The hydro didn't show anything that I didn't expect: I have inflammation...duh! :P

Let's hope that it helps. Love to all! I will take it easy and again, good luck, Jenn!

Thank you so much for this. I have been in the bed since last friday with pain beyond control at this point. I've tried all the stuff I know and the dr said today that Im headed for surgery. However, the soonest he can get me in is late sept. I was so worried. Had many kinds of surgery before but nothing for IC.

I was so worried .. the thought of surgery scares me as it is. glad to know its likely a better feeling than the pain im in right now.

                Cysto Hydro and Biospy

Hey ladies. I have been in so much pain. My urogloist has tried so many things. I am currently taking Elmron 3 times a day as well as getting the Bladder instaillions as well at least once a week. This past Monday was my first Pevlic Stimulation and after I had that I have been in so much pain and seems to feel worse. I am on several other medications as well. The uroglosit called me today and said that they want me to get a Cysty Hydro and they would biospy as well. But before they do this they made me an appointment with a GYN specialist because they wanna see if they think I need any other procuders done so they can all be done the same time. I'm so scared and tired of being in pain all the time. I got put on bed rest the rest of this week. I work a an elementary school and I am having to leave work all the time for all these doctors appointments and miss work from not feeling good, or like the bed rest issue. I really need my job cause I need the money, I have a husband and two kids and every thing helps. My husband is military thank goodness he is here now to help me thru all of this. I have been a nervous wreck and hav been crying alot trying to soak all this stuff in. I was just dianosed with IC July 18, 2011...a day before my birthday what a bday present! I am scared for all these procedures and dont know what to think. Any info would be nice. Do any of you all work and how is this effecting your jobs?

                Thanks,
                Beverly

                  It gets better with help.

                  Bev,

I work full-time (teaching). It was really bad at first, but now I'm starting to really watch my diet, along with reading alternative method books. I still am seeing doctors, but I've given up on instills and other medical means. If you'd like to e-mail me for more support; I'm on there more--it's [email protected]

I don't know if I am following this correctly but I'll reply anyway. I had a hydro and biopsy, they sedated me, and I didn't have any pain or discomfort afterwards. This was 3 yrs back, I was diagnosed with mild IC. As for today I am wondering if I'm still in the mild range as I have had a flare. But just wanted to let you know that I was very much affraid and it all turned out well. Hope it is the same for you too. Judy Gee
