How bad does this hurt? I know some patients get relief after the hydro and I am hoping I will but my question is will the biopsy be bad?

I have had over forty hydrodistentions in my 36 years with IC. I am one who is helped by the procedure. I didn't feel any difference when biopsies were taken. You should plan to take it easy for a few days afterwards --- I don't usually need pain meds beyond a day or two at most after a procedure.
I hope you will be among those who are helped.

I had the hydro/cysto last yr. but was awake. That was when I was supposedly diagnosed as IC free by the quack I saw locally. I'm thankful I will be asleep this time. That I find relief in. I was very afraid about the pain aspect afterwards. I'm finally climbing out of this hole and feel so much better that I don't wanna do something to set off more pain again. Thanks everyone.
