I might as well had you guys do the procedure? any info would be great or should I just leave it alone I can tell you that I have allot of urgency, burning, and throbbing sensation. I have taken pyridum and bactrim , for I afraid of infection and I did this on my own well I ask the dr do you think it would be a good idea to take pyridum and bactrim she oh yea that is a good idea?

    Hi Ruth,
I wish I knew the answer to that question. Since your doctor did the procedure, she really is the one who should guide you. I'd ask her again and press her to consult with a doctor colleague if she doesn't know. But having you ask other patients who don't know exactly what happened during the procedure, nor your medical history, just doesn't make sense. I'm sorry and I hope you feel better very soon.
    Sending an e-hug,
    Kadi

My doctor had me wait to do any instills for a few weeks after having that done. One time I said to have the instill done the following week and he let me. Boy, was that a bad idea but he let me learn he was right. Things were not "healed" yet. Are you in a lot of pain? Maybe put the lidocaine in the eurethra would help some?

Yea Kadi I totally agree? I once asked another urologist some thing about taking birth control and he said the same thing to me " the IC Network community know more about IC than I do because they live it everyday?"

Kadi my feelings on Drs in general is they are practicing on us seeing what works and they might get lucky the first time and give us the right meds but in my case it has been trial and error with IC . I might be wrong but I think that most IC people have to go through great lengths to find what works and does not work for them and on numerous occasions by different kinds of drs they themselves tell me "ask the IC Community" they know because they have taken this or that" for what ever health issue I might have at the moment. I have learned a great deal of information on this site if it was not for ICN I really don't know were I would be today.

Thanks for responding I am always very great full for any info you ladies can give me,

Thanks and I will call the dr again and ask her if she can please find out for me.
        Blessings,
        Ruth
