Can anyone tell me what amount is ok for residual urine after voiding? When I had the test done I had 150 ML left everytime. Everything I have read said anywhere from 50 to 100 Ml is normal. My UR doctor didn't seem to think that this was a problem.

150 ml is a lot. Do you have frequent infections? I have read that the most frequent problem with residual is infection.

I have had one about once a month since June. The main problem is that I always feel like I have an infection. My biggest sign is blood in the urine. But since my last one about three weeks ago they haven't checked me. I find that kind of odd. That is really why I hate being told I have IC. I think that my doctors are so certain that I have it I think they had me with it before I even walked in the door. I just sometimes think that IC sometimes can be a cop out for doctors. They really don't understand what you have so we are going to just say that you have IC and that will be the end of that. Almost like we have told you what you have now live with it.

Hmmmmm --- have you thought about maybe seeing another uro for a second opinion? If you don't feel comfortable with what you're being told I think that would be a good option for you --- and it doesn't mean you have to change doctors. Physicians actually encourage second opinions.
