  • UTI Test Strips

I don't know if this is a good place to post this, but here goes nothing!

I am really thinking about purchasing at home test strips to determine if all my pains are IC or UTI related. I am reading multiple reviews for different companies and different results, so I thought I'd come here where I can trust my IC friends

What brand/type of urine strips do you purchase and trust?

I've always used Azo. I hardly ever have an infection but I keep them around just in case.
Katie-46 yr old female dx'd with IC after 15 years of symptoms off and on long term antibiotic use, GERD,IBS and now IC diet, gallbladder removed, endometrial ablation w/tubes tied
    Lexapro-20 mg
    Aciphex
    Ambien-as needed
Percocet-7.5 up to 3 per day as needed
    Valium-10 mg x2 per day
    Phenergan-1 at night
    Prelief w/everything
    Now recovering from acute pancreatitis

    Currents treatments that help somewhat:
    Heating pad
    Hot baths
    Ice
Being VERY still while lying down with legs elevated

AZO is a good brand. The strips aren't 100% but they can give you an idea of whether an infection is a possibility.

I use AZO as well - I find them to be accurate and they come with a $1 coupon. I always keep a box in the house .
