Welcome to the ICN network. To answer your question, No IC does not cause death. IC can be life altering and at times can be a real nuisance. I have had IC for 29 years now and was diagnosed when I was 16 years old. I have had a full, complete life. You have to watch your eating habits and until you can find a treatment that works for you, you many times look for the next bathroom.

Read through the handbook on this site and you will get a lot of info. Ask whatever you need. We are all here for you.

        Hi Vi,

To my knowledge, it may annoy you to death but clinically and physically it cannot kill you. I especially know about the annoyance part. lmao

                  Hi-

When my former doctor told me not to worry 'cause IC doesn't cause death I told him, "maybe not mine, but yours". You can guess that we didn't have a very good patient/doctor relationship.

I haven't even went to the Doctor's yet to be tested. I'm going to look into it tho'... I'd better do it soon. Do I go to my regular doctor to get contacts? or find a specialist?

My suggestion would be to see your regular doctor and ask for a referral. I think it's good to have a primary care physician who is up to date on what's going on. This is especially true if you're taking any medications at all.

                        Warm hugs,
