So in Septemeber I have been getting what we thought were UTI's but all cultures have come back negative. This week I have had intense flank pain and bladder spasms. My CT was negative for stones and UA and cultures were negative, except for some microscopic blood. I was on 3 days of Cipro, until the culture came back negative. On Friday I went back to the doctor's because of the bladder pain, frequency, urgency, only passing small amount of urine. The doctor wasn't sure at first but after discussing how my endometriosis feels completely different, he decided to try me on FLomax and to get an Urology consult this week. I am still having the bladder pain, urgency and frequency but I now am not having trouble passing my urine. He feels like I may have IC or something similar, this is my 6th incident since September. I am not the healthiest person, I have endometriosis (on Lupron since October), GERD, Bile Reflux, Hiatal Hernia, Chronic Gastritis, Barrett's Esophagus, Gastroparesis, asthma, severe allergies, chronic sinusitis and Selective IgA Deficiency. It seems that as soon as I get one under control, something else flares. I already take both Zyrtec and Singulair, for allergies. i am already on a low acid diet (also low fat, low fiber). I decided today to start Prelief as it can only help me. I hope just to get all my problems under control. Sorry this is so long.

HI! You sound like most of us on here....lots of health issues and just when you think you have one conquered...or at least have a handle on it......another one arrises!
You sound like I did in the begining of my IC over 25 yrs ago. At least now doctors know symptoms and medication to help.
Most times when I've gone to my dr. with what I thought was a uti.....it wasn't...just IC pain at it's best. My dr. puts me on 500mg of Cipro for a few days.....even it the tests come back neg. and that got me thru the flare.
I hope you get a diagnosis soon and a good treatment plan. Good luck! Roxie

I'm on a very strict diet because of the IC, IBS and Gastric Bypass. I take Primal Defense Probiotics and whole food Iron.
I no longer have the awful urethral pain! I've been using MSM gel now for 4 mo. and haven't had a flare up or the urethra pain.....it's amazing stuff!!:woohoo:

Hi there.
Wow, you have alot going on. I also have motility issues of the gut. I belong also to the gastroparesis group, (a very wonderful group). I feel for you there as GP is another awful disease to live with.
I noticed you mentioned that you are having trouble passing urine. Do you think maybe any of your meds could be causing that. I notice you are taking antihistimines, and they can cause urinary retention for some. Just a thought. I do hope you get better soon.

I belong to the GP yahoo group too. GP stinks. I am on Reglan, Protonix and Carafate for the GP. I have been on antihistimines for 10 plus years. The difficulty is only when these flares happen which first started in September. We will see what the Urologists says. Another specialist to add to my ever growing list.I have numerous health problems, including endometriosis, IC, pudendal neuralgia, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic dyssnergia.
My meds:
Seasonale
Atarax
Zanaflex
