    HI Rhonda!
Boy I know......it can drive you nuts when you are going to a dr. who knows nothing about your problem.....but wants to treat you as if they do!! LOL You want to have confidence in your dr. and hope they know what they are doing.....but after a while it's "each for their own!" If you don't stand up for yourself and your treatment, no one will stand up for you!"
Hope you are having a good day Rhonda! Roxie

    HI there!
I'm one of those who wrote you before when you posted.
I have been using the Freeze Dried Aloe Vera for almost 3 yrs now and have had great luck with it. It does coat the inside of the bladder and helps heal the lining.
Those cranberry pills are murder in pill form if you do have IC. They are irriating the lining even more than it already is.....if you are having the frequency and urgency. Why not stop them and continue with the therapy and Aloe and see how you do. Is it an IC specialist you are seeing or a reg. dr? IF it's a reg. dr. why not look for an IC specialist and see what they recommend for meds?? IF you do have IC you should get started on Elmiron to help heal your bladder. I know IC isn't easy to understand....but take it from us who's been around the IC Block.....it's better to go to an IC specialist right away instead of wasting time with the wrong dr. and wrong meds. Take care......Roxie

started a topic frequency better, still have pain

    frequency better, still have pain

    Hi Everyone,
I noticed since I started bladder training(going every 2 hours and sitting there for 5 minutes) that I'm starting to go less frequently. I also am taking Lexapro for 2 weeks, that is also probably helping. I'm still having pain though. I started taking the Aloe Vera supplements this morning. I figure it's worth a shot, and it's aloe vera, so it's probably pretty healthy for me. Anyone have luck with the aloe vera?
I'm the person who posted about drinking cranberry juice and taking Vitamin C. Of course, I couldn't stand the taste of the cranberry juice so I switched over to the pills. I'm still doing this and this is probably why I'm in pain but I'm wondering if it's helping with the frequency. I'm afraid to try or stop anything that might help.
Thanks for any advice, I'm still confused about what will help or hurt.
Working...
