I use a heating pad nightly, I think it distracts my mind from the feeling of needing to go.
I also use pillows between my knees, infront of my lower ab and back.
As a side note I have low blood sugar and have found out that people prone to this, their sugar level drops in the night and their body wakes you up because it needs fuel, it is better to eat protein prior to bed, it dosen't raise your blood sugar only to have it drop too low a few hours later and wake you up.
good luck MG

Thanks ladies! I slept well last night, had a long day (I have a 3 year old daughter!) So she keeps me busy! I think the culprit is my period is about to start and I was eating a lot sugar before bed

i agree with everyone else, I usually read/watch Tv for awhile and have my heating pad on - then I can usually go to bed, with turning my my heating pad and then I usually fall asleep within 30 minutes or so. Heres hoping you do get some reast.

If I start in with that feeling just as I'm going to bed, then I just read a while longer until I can go pee. With me that's usually not too long, and then once I'm done I try to go to sleep immediately. I'll also take an Ambien (rarely) if that just doesn't work. Good luck!!

I read in bed until I'm relaxed --- it really helps me get to sleep.

I agree with a heating pad & some deep breathin exercises while laying in bed helps to relax & calm you. Also some soothing music helps too!

Have you tried a heating pad? That always helped with some pain and pressure for me until I recieved Lidoderm patches from my dr.

getting to sleep
Hi everyone,
I seem to be getting a little bit of pressure again before I go to sleep. I don't know why but it hits me right before bed. Just to torture me I guess. I'm wondering what others do to deal with this symptom? Any tips or tricks to help me just fall asleep or relax.
Please, only positive tips. I don't want to hear how nothing works for you. I'm trying to say positive.I'm on 10mg of elavil and .5 klonopin. I feel like that was working really well since January when I started meds. Thank you!
