I'm also in remission (knock on wood) but I have had that feeling before and it most always went along with a flare.

I have had the pain you just described. For me, it goes with a flare.
However, if it's a new symptom for you, I do suggest you talk to your doctor about it.
Warm hugs,
Donna

no, I've had ovarian pain before when I had a functional cyst a few years ago... This feels alot different.I haven't felt it as much today though, maybe it is going away.

Hi hi
Just a thought. Could it be your ovaries? I get those pains every month when I ovulate. I don't know what time of month it is for you but that's just what popped into my head when I read your post.
Good luck, Erin

I've gotten that from time to time (I'm pretty much in remission right now too.) And I've had that same sensation, where the pain only seems to occur on one side. If you aren't having any other symptoms of infection and it isn't persistent, it may be a pelvic floor muscle spasm. If it continues over time, you might want to contact your urologist or gynecologist. Sometimes putting a heating pad on the pelvic area can help relax the muscles. Hope you feel better soon!

I suggest that you go and see your dr to rule out an infection. Hope you feel better soon.

stabbing pain
I have been in remission for almost the last year... but for the last 3 days I've had this sort of stabbing pain in my urethra, and it feels like it's to one side. It doesn't get any worse during urination or anything, I will just be sitting or standing and it will hurt for a few seconds then go away. It seems like I've had it before, but I don't remember it lasting this long. Does it sound like an infection or just something IC related?Tags: None
