How do I make it go away? I feel so icky. It's been really bad for about a week now and I'm really uncomfortable. Any remedies?
Is this an IC thing?

Sounds like IC belly. Unfortunately I haven't found anything to make it go away. Sorry!
I can say that I rarely get it now but my first 1.5 yrs with IC it was a constant, and yes, VERY uncomfortable. Loose, soft clothing and cold packs helped me feel a little better, but didn't make it go away. Best wishes
Seriously?! There's nothing you can do? How is that possible? So the pelvic pain, the bloating, the perineal pain, the itching... it is all caused by IC? This is horrible.

Sorry! But yes, I've posted and asked about it before and so have others and no one that I know of has ever came up with a real solution for IC belly. I thought maybe those on one of the antihistimines like Atarax would say that it had helped, but really, no one could say absolutely that it helped. I do get all the other symptoms you mention, and luckily my meds help with those symptoms, but not with the bloating You could do a search here on IC belly, and maybe there was something that I missed. I don't know why, like I said, just with time I don't seem to get bloated anymore.
When this happens to me it seems to correspond with how bad the IC symptoms are on the pain and/or urgency scale. When things get better for you, perhaps your "IC belly" will go away.
I do seem to see a bit of correlation with the Atarax and IC belly getting better. I know when I forget to take it then I'm much more bloated. I had a year of being on Atarax before being diagnosed, for another condition, and I weighed far less and was less bloated. So I'm going to try not to forget it.
Here's the thing- I can't find a correlation because I don't have any urinary symptoms at all. I pee maybe 4 or 5 times a day, it doesn't hurt, I don't wake up in the middle of the night to go (usually). Even my pelvic pain has been pretty minor these past two weeks or so. I did just have a problem with a quick stomach virus las week, but it's gone. Could it be a result of that?
