  • Incontinence tip

I know that incontinence is not necessarily a symptom of IC, but I also know that some have it as an issue. And some of us just feel like we have to go NOW when our bladders get full and start hurting. Anyway, I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but this is a tip my hubby found. I haven't tried it, yet, but thought it was interesting.

Lifehacker's Top 10 Body Hacks, #4: Ladies, not sure that mad dash to the restroom will get you there in time? Scratch the back of your leg. "If you scratch or rub the back of your calf for a few moments, really vigorously, you may interrupt the message from your bladder to your brain just long enough for you to make it to the toilet," [continence expert Janetta] Webb said." I'll give it a try next time I feel like I'm going to burst before I get there.

I will give that a try as well. I have EC but sometimes when I get that very strong urge to urinate I do leak on my way to the restroom.

If anyone does try this, let me know how it works. I'm just curious if that really would work. I haven't had a "chance" to try it, yet.
