Any ideas on what could be making hands swell?

    Any ideas on what could be making hands swell?

    I thought that my hands were swelling because of the Elavil, but I have been off for a month now..They will go down, then swell again.. I do not eat any added salt and cook most all my meals and I drink so much water some days I think im floating..Any ideas on why this might be happening? and what can I do to keep the swelling down..

    Meds For IC: Lyrica-25mg Glucosamine-500 MSM-500mg, Prosed Ds -When Flaring

    Other Meds: Levlite- Continious Birtcontrol, Micardis-40mg for High Blood Pressure

    Meds I have Tried:
    Topamax,Tofranil, Elmiron, Atarax, Cymbalta, Elavil, Enablex, Detral La, Prydium.
    Lexapro< Bad reaction to this med!
    Intstills, could not continue them due to some kind of reaction after 3rd instill. Tasted the lidocaine in my mouth, tongue and lips went numb then went into what seemed like a panic attack. Shaking, racing heart, tingling face/head, blood pressure shot up..

    Dx With IC in Nov 2006 with Hydro/Cysto
    Hydro/Cysto Caused Bladder to Rupture.

    Other Dxs-Vulvodynia,Fibro, Endo, IBS, HPV, Migraines, Spastic Colon, Mild Dysplasia.

      My fingers swell when I get too much sodium, but I also show weight gain with the swelling.

          Ronda sorry I don't know. My hands seems to swell during summer months but I don't know if this is what is happeining with you.

              Could be Trishann, because they dont seem to do it as bad in the winter come to think of it..

                  Re. swollen hands

                  hey girl.

                  I don't know what causes your hands to swell, but enablex is horible on me. It causes retention. I bleme mine on arthritis because i have been dxg. with psoratic arthritis. Mine seeem to also swell in the summer. That I don't understand. Whatever it is I pray you will be better soon.
