    Once a week pale amber colored urine?

    Just when I thought I had been dragged through the last tiniest knothole of a 6 month long flare - about every 5 days or so - I have an incident of pale amber colored urine

    Anyone else ever have this?

    It seems to happen in the AM but not, necessarily the first or second time after waking up.

    Thanks for any input.

      You need to ask your uro, maybe the internet may have something on that. It could be something your eating or drinking thats causing that color?

              Are you drinking enough water? When I'm having a hard time with getting enough water, my urine turns dark. It is kind of odd that it only happens once a week or so, though. I'd check with my doc.
              Katie-46 yr old female dx'd with IC after 15 years of symptoms off and on long term antibiotic use, GERD,IBS and now IC diet, gallbladder removed, endometrial ablation w/tubes tied
              Lexapro-20 mg
              Aciphex
              Ambien-as needed
              Percocet-7.5 up to 3 per day as needed
              Valium-10 mg x2 per day
              Phenergan-1 at night
              Prelief w/everything
              Now recovering from acute pancreatitis

              Currents treatments that help somewhat:
              Heating pad
              Hot baths
              Ice
              Being VERY still while lying down with legs elevated

                  Definitely ask your uro - it could be anything from something you're eating, to blood in the urine, to a metabolic issue, and your uro is the only one who can help you figure that one out. Definitely keep a food, pain, and voiding diary though - you might be able to link something that you're doing to this new development.

                  *Diagnosed with severe IC in 2004
                  *Also diagnosed with PFD, fibromyalgia, chronic myofascial pain, IBS, migraines, allergies/asthma, dermatographism
                  *Kept trying a million different treatments for all these things until I found what works, and I am doing okay these days with the help of a cocktail of medications and the InterStim, which was first placed in 2007. [I have had 2 revisions - one in 2010 when my battery died and had to be replaced, and one complete replacement (lead and generator) in 2012 after a fall on my stairs caused my lead to move.]
                  *Current meds include Atarax (50mg at night), Lyrica (150mg twice a day), Xanax (0.5mg at night and as needed), Zanaflex (4mg at night), hydrocodone (10/325, every 6 hours as needed), Advair, Nasonex, Singulair (10mg at night), oral contraceptives, home instills containing Elmiron and Marcaine (as often as I need to do them).
