Are you drinking lots of water? Sometimes that happens more so to me when I haven't been drinking enough water. Sometimes eating a few tums will help that or some people drink 1/4 tsp of baking soda in water, tastes awful. Don't drink the baking soda if you have high blood pressure or are salt restricted.
I get that burning in my bladder a lot, some times after I eat something I shouldn't or like I said haven't had enough water. The other thing that flares the burning for me is stress, I can feel it starting when I get upset.Link to the patient information, everything from What is IC? to Disability

Ice packs. I buy those small blue ice packs at Wal-Mart. Wrap it in a washcloth, put it in a gallon ziplock, press the air out, close the bag and then fold it over twice. I wrap this in a hand towel and actually sleep with this between my legs at night. I keep 2 in the freezer. When I wake at night to go pee, I usually need to swap them out, as the first one is usually thawed by then.
