Might want to be sure you are not working on an infection. Of course these things always happen on the weekend! Think you will hear that a lot of folks, male and female, experience that pain. Drink lots of water and try to RELAX. Put your feet up this weekend and watch some old movies and stick religiously to the diet. Hope you feel better, but at the first sign you think you may have a bladder/kidney infection, get thyself medical help. Take care of you. Jill, wife of Bob

So sorry you are having so much pain, I too live in Riverside (Temecula) but I think you should go to the emergency room, they can at least give you some pain medication and determine if it is an infection on top of the IC.

My thoughts are with you my friend, and I wish you well.

                  Duana,
I have this stabbing knife pain in the center of my bladder most of the time. It can also be at the right or left side of my bladder or on both sided at once. This is exactly how I describe the pain to my pain dr. Stabbing, knife like pain in the center of my bladder and aching on the sides. For me, there has been no end even with instils and pain meds. It is exhausting to say the least.

I go to Dr. Lowell Parsons, but he is semi retired now and doing mostly research for IC. If you are in the Temecula area there is a doctor here Dr. Richard Conner has a great Urology Dept here. I used him when I was hospitalized and may end up back with him.
