  • Im...back..and new problem :(

    Hi all...

Its been a while since I have had a flare up....and this is the worst I have ever had yet..... I think I have a new problem though and I am thinking of seeing a Urologist now....

Let me first say that a week and 1/2 ago I had a tubal ligation...and while I was under the anesthesia they put a catheter in me. About 6 days after the surgery I started having IC symptoms....Frequent Unination, and alot of spazams.....(I never really have the pain like you have a UTI)....So I thought I probably have a UTI from the catheter..so I was prescribed Bactrim....Well I know now...it must NOT have been and infection b/c im 5 days into Bactrim and no relief.

Well I am having constant spazams in what I would describe as the urinary tract area..or urethra...but now when I pee....I cannot "push" my pee out...like if I was in a hurry lets say and you push....your stream would be harder ...well I cant...I have to just sit and let the pee come out and if i move the flow will stop??? It almost feels like I have no control of the muscle that controls that.??? I would think that is my urethra? Can that be damaged????

Is this even a symptom of IC or is something else now wrong? Im so scared.

I think it's good that you will be seeing your doctor. I hope you feel better quickly.

Try not to panic --- your problem could just be some post op swelling --- I have had that happen before.

            thanks donna

You mean that from the Tubal I could have residual effect ie: IC flare up?

B/c I have to tell you...I had laproscopy tubal and I literally had NO PAIN from that...nothing...I wanted to go the gym the next day..ha ha....

I didn't realize that maybe that could effect IC??

Also...my peeing (stream) seems to be a little bit stronger as the morning is going on...plus I am trying to hold of to build it up more, tho I don't know if that is good or bad?
