Maybe the urologist can send a letter to your primary MD with an outline of a treatment plan & you can then be treated by your regular MD? This way you could just do a follow up with the uro once or twice a year? Best of luck!

Well I guess I will bite the bullet and see my urologist. He is very nice and kind. Well worth knowing what is going on. Thank you

When I get bladder spasms I actually feel the bladder wall "moving" in a painful way. Like little waves above my pubic bone. I do not get this feeling in my urethra. But we are all so different with this disease.

I don't think so....but thats a pretty common symptom of IC here. People also describe it like having a knife there.
Bladder spasms are more like contractions, where you feel your bladder squeeze. I think it feels differently for many of us like so many things with IC. But for me bladder spasms feel like I'm being poked in the bladder and gives me an overwhelming feeling of needing to go pee. Though I can hold it they get worse until I go to the bathroom and then they stop for awhile.

bladder spasms
Does bladder spasms feel like stick shoved into your urethra? I have never had this before. My MD told me this, not my urologist. It cost more money to go to my urologist. M past history is with over active bladder. Was told once that I had IC in passing.Tags: None
