  • Savella and Fibro

After years of Hypothyroidism, migraines and finally IC, I absolutely not going to believe that I had fibromyalgia too! I fought the diagnosis for a year. I could not deal with another incurable autoimmune disease. AFter the all over body pain (even in my fingers) became too much to bear, I caved. I could not take cymbalta due to the color of the pills. I refused to take lyrica becuase I have already gained 30 lbs due to this disease. My Dr. Recommended Savella. The body pain is almost totally gone. I am experiencing a bit of nausea and light headedness so I think I am going to stay at this dosage for a few weeks and let my body adjust. If it help my IC somewhere along the line - amazing. If not, it has certainly already help alleviate one problem. Worth a try, just increase the dosage very slowly and take after food. Thought I would share

So glad to hear you are having such a good response to the savella. I take cymbalta and like you resisted for a while, just couldn't stand to add another med. Once I got to where I could no longer even lay down and be still without constant pain I called my Dr. I saw results within days.

Hopefully your side effects will go away with time. So glad you are feeling better, I feel that it does help my IC. Perhaps that is because I just feel better in general or maybe it is helping the IC pain.

    Thanks for sharing!
