  • Burns when I cath

I have had the stomach bug, therefore I didn't got to the bathroom like i should have so I prolly have a good ol' infection. But, is it IC or an infection??? I know I can buy those urine checkers but I forget what they are called. So I have cathed twice today and somewhat relief. Just feels like I have to go, go, go. I am having my bladder stretched friday so, I hope and pray this helps. I am also have needle like pains in my pelvic area on my right side. Any one have any suggestions on what I should do?

    Thanks

also my Urethea at the opening just feels like it is spasming 24/7 just at the tip on the outside if that makes sense.

    Hi,
Given that you're having a hydrodistension on Friday, I'd call the doctor's office as soon as they open tomorrow morning & go in to leave a sample.

For the future, the self-test kits are called AZO. You can sometimes find them in the feminine hygiene section of the drugstore or supermarket.

    Wishing you relief soon,
    Kadi

I totally agree. If you have an infection you need to be on antibiotics ASAP, especially with a hydro scheduled.

        Thanks ladies,

I think it was where I was kind of dehydrated and I started my menstral cycle. My doctor also wrote me a prescription for an antibodic when I have to cath everyday and I took 1 or 2 can't remember and all is well in the cathing world now. Thank you all so much if it wasn't for this website I don't know what I would do sometimes.
