    Going to doctors tomorrow, what should I ask about?

    I've had recurrent cystitis for about 2 years now, which I get on a regular basis, nearly everyday.

    I went to the doctor about this time last year to get treatment, he gave me anti spasmodics and antibioics which didn't help.

    What should I really be asking him/ what treatments should I ask for?

    I was thinking strong painkillers to quickly get rid of the pain of an attack, something to help me sleep when I have it, also something to help me strop going to the toilet as often?

    I'm kinda confused

      I think I might ask about whether he thinks you might have interstitial cystitis and how you can find out if that's what you have.

      You might also keep a voiding diary to take with you so you can tell him how often you urinate and how much each time.

          I agree with donna you need to find out if you have IC and then work on a treatment plan. In the mean time stay on the IC diet till you know for sure.
