I really don't know how to explain what a day for me is like, so I guess I'll just try and see what comes out. I get up in the morning feeling great. I go pee and have very mild discomfort. I then go poo-poo and have almost instant burning afterwards. This will go on for most of the morning and afternoon. Evening rolls around and it starts to calm down. I take a shower and feel pretty good. I'm wondering what the connection is between going poo and the burning thing. Some days are worse than others. I've been having this problem for about a month now. Could this PFD???? Also, I've been having something like air bubbles right after I pee. Kind of like having your period and you feel like something is coming out. I had a cysto/hydro back in April and prior to that never had that strange feeling. I was feeling great after the cysto/hydro up until about a month ago.

I can't even guess what might cause the air bubbles --- have you asked your doctor? If not, I really think you should.

If I strain during a bowel movement, I do get burning in my urethra if I urinate directly after. It is sharp and only lasts about a minute though. If I am careful to stay very relaxed, I do not get burning.Symtoms started July 2010.
Severe pelvic floor pain only.
2 time PT graduate!
In medical remission since August 2011; able to eat and drink anything I want currently.
IC meds:
200 mg Elmiron in the morning
100 mg Elmiron @ night
Macrobid after intercourse
03/11
07/11
01/12
If at first you don't succeed: 07/26/2013!

If I strain when I have a bowel movement, it is 100% certain that I will have burning in my urethra, frequency, urgency, and just all over pain - basically like I have a bad UTI.
So I guess the question, are you straining or pushing at all? Do you have any constipation?
If yes, then you could have PFD and PT could help.Current treatment:
Elmiron 100mg 3x a day
Hydroxyzine 75mg
Lyrica 100mg 3x a day
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy started 12/10
Ativan 1-2mg as needed
