Question to those with pelvic/lower abdo pain

For people diagnosed with IC;

When you have pelvic/lower abdominal pain does it hurt when you or someone presses your bladder area?

The reason I'm asking, is that I haven't been diagnosed with ic yet and I think my uro doesn't to give me a cystoscopy hydro based on the fact that my bladder doesn't hurt when pressed(externally) Is that a common symptom of IC? I want to know if I should insist on getting it and just get it over with.
