I have been having a constant discharge. I had a burning feeling as I sat at my desk last week and the doctor told me to come right in which proved negative for a yeast or bacterial infection. I was told the estrace I am on could create some burning so I have put that on hold to see if that was it but now as I sit I feel a constant oozy feeling. HELP?

Hi, I always have a discharge. I am sorry that you are not feeling well. Can you get another opion to make sure its not a yeast or bacterial or uti infection? Please let me know how you make out. I care. Praying for you.Hang in there , There is hope.

Did they do a culture at the doc's office? Might be worth asking for if the discharge continues to be heavier than is typical for you. (I just know that sometimes when the doc does just a visual exam and thinks it's bacterial in nature - a culture may reveal that it was really yeast - or vice versa.) I feel for you - I have been having problems with yeast and burning, etc. Pain!Kim
Diagnosed August 2001
Current IC meds: Elmiron (since 2001), Levaquin (one pill after intercourse to prevent UTIs), Effexor (for depression & anxiety)
Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA, Lexapro (for depression & anxiety, but also helped my IC) (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)
I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for about 8 years now.

Sounds quick for a culture, but I am certainly not a doctor or anything close. Maybe they just looked at it under the microscope?Kim
