Went to my urologist yesterday and he is quite certain, based on my "current" history, that changes in my enviornment have caused the onset of my ec. Easter weekend of 2001 I moved into my new home. That same year in June is when I began to get sick. I told him the only thing I really ingested that was different was the water. So he recommended to me that I drink spring water. Since my bladder is constantly trying to rid itself of whatever is causing my cystitis, I figured changing the water might be an importaint step. Maybe then once the tap water has been flushed, the ec will go away. He also recommended to me to get a hepa filter, since they clear the spores and allergens out of the air. I got those on ebay last night. I also posted some info about a good uro in Chicago if anyone is interested in the "meet people by region" category. I'll keep you posted on my progress!

I hope the filters and the change in water help you sweetie. I know that I changed my water to spring water also and I think it has helped me a bit. But I had not changed water sources in quite sometime before that so.. I am not sure that could what is happening with me, but I am glad to read more about the allergy testing and how it relates to IC. I am fascinated that IC and alergies are somehow correlated. I wish you the best sweetie and hope that the changes are of great help to you.
