  • silver fillings containing trace amounts of lead

I have heard the trace amounts of lead in silver fillings can cause health problems of varying organs and muscle tissue. And to the point that many people have them replaced with not lead fillings and feel much better. I wonder how many of us have these fillings and if there is any correlation. I myself have 8 silver fillings.

My (alternative) doctor believes that the lead and mercury from silver fillings will deposit in your organs and tissues and cause problems. In addition to IC I also have MS and there has been a lot of research into the connection between MS and silver fillings. I have had most of mine removed but still have one or two in my mouth. My doctor said that even after they are removed it is still very difficult to get it out of your tissues.

I grew up in an area where there is a high concentration of natural fluoride and had never had a filling until my children were preteen --- and I developed IC prior to the first of my two silver fillings. I now also have several crowns and some implants, none of which are silver, in addition to the fillings.

There are millions of healthy people running around with silver fillings --- and there is no real evidence anywhere that they cause problems.

Duh? Mercury not Lead. What was I thinking, trace amounts of lead would cause a problem now wouldn't it. Anyways, thanks for the attachment it was very informative. To be quite honest, I was just curious on the idea and am interested to see that some others have thought of it too.
