IC related to FMS, CFIDS I believe

While there may be more than one cause for IC, I do believe that the key is in the same place as the key for FMS, CFIDS and will be found to be hormonal or enzyme based defect which women are more prone to than men.

If you are a man they called it "chronic prostatitis" or "chronic pelvic pain syndrome", if you are female they call it IC. It's too early to say whether men or women are more prone to this disorder, or whether we have equal susceptibility.

I believe there may be more than one type of IC, but many who have FMS or CFIDS also have IC and a constellation of other symptoms and I believe they may all be linked. The experts are still saying that FMS and CFIDS strike women at a marked higher rate than men, that is why I say maybe someday they will find a hormonal link based on progestrone, but men also produce some progrestrone.
