If I were to change jobs, how would I know if the new insurance would cover me already having IC? Could they not accept me or not pay for treatments since I'm already diagnosed?
    Your Friend,
    Michelle

    Imipramine, 10 mg per day

    Probiotics
Hydrocodone, 2 pills a day (at any time of day)

If you have continous insurance coverage for the preceding 12 months then the pre-existing conditions clause does not apply. Generally you have approx. 60 days to get new coverage without losing your status. As for if your current Dr's are covered you would have to check what the insurance is and do a search of healthcare providers. I am going through this right now and have been doing a lot of research. If the health care reform goes forward the pre-existing conditions would no longer matter. They have already lifted that from children's coverage.
