  • 2017 IC Friendly Health Insurance

Quick question: I'm disabled and have Medicare only. I need better coverage to get nerve blocks, installations, surgeries and to get my medication prices down.

Looking into a secondary medigap policy - OR - I may drop Medicare and get a Blue Cross PPO (or something similar.) I want the best coverage possible. We know how expensive IC is!

Which scenario would be better for me? I've been told a lot of doctors won't accept a private Blue Cross PPO plan.
    So confused!
    TIA,
    Jill

Talk to an independent insurance agent who will be familiar with what's available in your state and who can help guide you towards a plan that would fit your needs.

It's difficult to know --- plans can vary from area to area. This time of year there may be information sessions available in your area.

Thank you for the advice. I have a broker but isn't as knowledgeable as I would like, hence my post. Time to get a new broker and call Social Security about dropping Medicare. Why can't this process be easier?!?!
