  • got aproved on the 1st try

I am very happy to announce that I was approved on the first try for social security. It took a lot of follow up on my part to the doctors offices. But I used a company called Allsup.
I have posted this in the past and it was deleted.
I am giving the name again in hopes that it can help someone else. They act as the go between with social security. If it was not for them getting supervisors on the phone at ss I would still be waiting. My best advice is be persistant and make many follow phone calls.

I am not sure if the company can help you but thought it was important to get it out there before it is deleted again.

Just a warning there is a fee for it. I am not posting this to make any money off of this just to help others. Good Luck to all of you and if you have any questions pls feel free to instant message me.
Always wishing the best to all of you.

    Congrats on the quick approval!
    Kim

    Diagnosed August 2001

Current IC meds: Elmiron (since 2001), Levaquin (one pill after intercourse to prevent UTIs), Effexor (for depression & anxiety)

Past IC meds: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Hydroxyzine (Vistaril), Detrol LA, Lexapro (for depression & anxiety, but also helped my IC) (They all helped, but I was able to discontinue them.)

I've been virtually symptom free and able to eat & drink whatever I'd like for about 8 years now.

“We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.” ~ Viktor Frankl
