  • Medicare will no longer pay for pain management

I caught something on the news that said Pain Management will no longer be covered by Medicare. This must include people with disabilities(SSD), which of course includes pain for many of us who seek pain management. I guess the people that voted this in don't see how PAIN CAN KILL!
Just wondering if anyone else has information on this news release?
Wishing you all a Healthy and PAINFREE New Year!

I heard the same thing on the news and haven't had time to research it yet, but what I heard was that Medicare will no longer cover physicians who specialize in pain management.

Did anyone else hear the same newscast?

I live in Britain & am signed off as not fit for work due to IC but I cannot get DLA (disability living allowance). I have applied for it several times & keep getting refused. Is there anyone else in the same situation?

I too heard on the newscast that medicare is going to stop paying for pain management. Now that to me is a HOOT! What will us do that cannot afford the high cost of pain management. Do you think it might be benificial to write our congressman and other state reps?
