I was wondering if you all could answer some questions? First of all I have had FM since I was 22. I am now 37. I was dx with IC in Sept. of this year. I work as a bus driver. Which means about 3 hours a day, tops. I make under 700.00 a month. But, it is very difficult to go the whole day and not take my pain meds....(I always wait until after my job is over) I also find it impossible to not drink some coffee in the mornings bc I am getting up at 5 am. and am a little groggy from the Hydroxyzine. Can a person apply for Disability and still work very part-time? I can't work any other job out-side of the home. I don't want to quit this bus job bc we do need the income. My husband would never get a second job. Has anyone gotten Disab. while they were working? Thanks, Dana

In Mich you can work part time. I do not know the amount limit or wagesbut you can go to www.socialsecurity.gov and see if you can find your answer.
Good Luck

Call your local SS office and ask for the info you need. They are really not as scarey as so many of us think they are. When I applied I had wonderful support from the State workers I had contact with~teri
