  • How is everyone coping during the current virus situation?

I know it's a difficult time --- let's share some of our coping strategies. I'll list some of mine:

    1. Keep shopping lists so I don't have to shop frequently.
    2. I order some things on line.
    3. Order groceries for curbside pickup.
    4. Use the drive-throughs at my bank and pharmacy.
    5. Postpone as many trips as possible. (With a mask on, nobody can see my hair.)
    6. We do necessary shopping during senior hours.
    7. Communicate with friends and family via telephone or computer.

Last Thursday, I had an eye appointment because my eyes were pouring; then another to have my tear ducts unplugged. Two days later, had a phone call that one of the aides caring for me has tested positive (no symptoms) so we are quarantined through Thanksgiving day. Everyone was masked and gloved so I think we are safe, but I would be heartbroken if I were to expose someone --- so we will not be spending the holidays with family. I will make it a point to connect with family in ways other than personal contact.

    Warm hugs,
    Donna
    Stay safe
