  • Portland Oregon Group Starts Strong!

Last night's first ever meeting of IC Support of Oregon was a success, with six IC patients and two spouses attending. There are also three more people committed to attending but who could not make last night's meeting. We shared stories, had a lively discussion covering a wide range of topics, and enjoyed the social aspect of talking with people who truly understand what life with IC is like. The goals for the group are mutual support, networking for the purpose of sharing information on management techniques and practitioners, and to continue to learn more about IC, with the ultimate goal of complete recovery.

We plan to have a guest speaker at future meetings, which will take place every other month, at the same time, the second Wednesday of the month, from 6:30 to 8:30. Our next meeting will be July 13th, so I'd better get to work on finding a guest speaker. You are welcome to attend.

I have attached a poster about the group, and I hope you will print it out and post it in a public place - church, school, library, grocery store, even in a bathroom!

    Thanks for your support.
