  • New Awards for 2007 - ICN Courage Award, ICN Spirit Award & ICN Moderators Choice!

:::as she smiles widely and waves from California::

Okay, I have finally finished some graphics for some new awards that we can give here in the ICN Forum for 2007!!! I hope that you like them. We will now have FOUR awards!

The ICN Spirit Award is specifically for members who help others!!! "The ICN Spirit Award - for showing support & compassion to an IC patient in need." These responses to posts are informative, educational and supportive... like a virtual hug!

The ICN Courage Award is for members who are showing great strength & courage during a very difficult time. This is our way of saying "Wow.." you're an inspiration, role model and, also, an IC warrior!

The "Moderators Choice Award" is given by moderators to posts that they feel deserve special recognition!!

The "ICN Presidents Award" will be given to those posts that I feel are a superb contribution to our knowledge of IC and/or to those which show great compassion towards others!!!

I do want to say that this is not a popularity contest. Awards aren't given to people per say as much as they are given to specific, informative postings! So, let's hope we see a lot of these awards in the future. If you see a post which you feel is deserving of recognition, please post their links!!

I think this is really cool because I know like Traceann and Waterflow will just talk to you and it just lift up your spirit.

I know this might sound silly to you, but what do you mean about posting the link. How do you go about it? Is it like doing a new thread or something. Very sorry, I am not great on computers and understanding the talk of computers.

      Hugs, Trishann

If you want to nominate a post, you need to create a new thread in this forum with a title like "I'd like to nominate..."

Then, it's really helpful if you can tell us exactly where that post is so that we can look at it... The best way to do that is to copy the location (or URL) of the post. That appears up in the menu bar for your web browser and should begin with http://www.ic-network.com/forum/showthread....

That's all it takes to make a nomination and if you can't post a URL... just tell us what forum the post is in... AND what it's title is!

                Great Idea!!

                Jill,

I think this a great idea! I have read so many wonderfully informative and supportive posts and heard so many couragous stories. It is hard to know where to start!

I will definately keep a look out from now on for posts that go above and beyond. I am sure you will be flooded with nominations. Every day when I come here, I read something that someone has written that moves me. Especially when I stop to think that most who come here do so in pain themselves, yet thru the pain, they reach out to someone else to deliver hope, compassion, comfort, and knowledge.

I love the graphics and love the idea!!

                Hugs,
                Amy
