How It Works:
Antihistamines are commonly used in the treatment of interstitial cystitis. Hydroxyzine (aka Atarax or Vistaril) are second-line treatment suggestions in the 2011 AUA Guidelines for IC/BPS. Some physicians may suggest an "over the counter" product like Claritin and Benadryl. Wendy Cohan RN in her new book, The Better Bladder Book, suggests nettle leaf tea or capsules. (page 54)

Suggested Use:
The best way to make a good cup of tea is by the infusion method. Place one tea bag in a cup and add no more than 6 oz. of boiling water. Let steep for 3 minutes. Press the bag before removing to enhance the flavor. Add honey to sweeten.
