HUMMMMMMMMMMM...Thats a toughie. For me I usually have to wait it out if its severe. The tub relaxes me and helps some. If its mild-moderate, I find pyridium can sure help. Hopefully your pain meds will kick in soon and you will feel better. I hate taking pyridium at work though, because I always stain the tolilets here, not at home though for some reason. Well at any rate, drink lots of water. Passing urine helps my pressure. Good luck!

Thanks Erika for replying so fast. Do you know if drinking baking soda in water will help with the pressure??

For me when I'm in a flare at work, I'll take a Pyridium -- (doesn't stain the toilets at work) or my pain medicine. Also I use my heating pad.
Hopefully, your meds will work soon.

          Petrie:

I often eat tums rather than the baking soda. It helps some with burning as it nutralizes or acidic urine. I would assume it could help some with the pressure. I think the feeling of pressure is really just the bladder being all irrated, and the pressure feeling is how our body tells up or bladder hurts. Maybe if you tried that, the urine would bother the bladder less and reduce your "feeling of pressure." I think that why pyridium helps me some. This is no means factual, but more an educated guess. Im sure it will do no harm to try. What have you got to lose! Keep us posted!

            Petrie,
I was having the same feeling..Felt like my bladder was going to fall out!
I am convinced that I know what was causing the pressure.. I believe its PFD.. pelvic floor disfuntion..I have been having my husband rubb my inner thighs and right under my butt...At first it felt like needles sticking in me, he could hardly even touch me there, but after a few nights of rubbing and taking hot baths, the pressure is gone!! Why dont you mention PFD to your doctor maybe he could recomend physical therapy..Good luck and God Bless You.........
