  • Help I'm in a flare😢😰👿looking for comfort and understanding

I haven't had a flare in a while. I thought I was better and now I'm in a horrible flare and it's like I've been slapped in the face. The pain sucks but the emotional toll it's taken on me is hard. I was so excited to go buy a new car. I've been wanting a van for two years and finally today I got to buy it. I saved up money and everything. But, what happens on the ride home a horrible flare. I called the dealer to see if I could return it. No, it's mine. I'd have to sell it back and lose money. So now I feel like crap about the money but don't want to be in pain. Why do I have to have IC? 😭Why can't I do normal things like everyone else? IC took away an exciting moment and made it suck and me feel like crap. I hate it. I'm sorry to be so negative I usually try to stay really positive but, today got to me and I wanted to be around other people that understood.
    Diagnosed IC 2/2011

    Current treatments/medications:
Physical Therapy for Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
    IC diet
    Elmiron (200 mg twice daily)
    Valium 5 mg
    Zoloft 25 mg
Tylenol 500 mg (as need for pain)

I love being a mom to an awesome active toddler

I'm so very sorry you are in a flare --- and I sincerely hope it goes away quickly.

I do have a bit of advice --- please give your better business bureau a call --- in many areas there's a 30-day grace period on such a large purchase.

    Warm hugs,
    Stay safe
