  • Does anyone get radiating pain in their abdomen from IC PFD flair?

    Hi all!
I am in a flair because 1. I am under a lot of stress and 2. i was feeling really good and decided to have a small glass of wine . Anyway, I am in so much pain! The pain starts over the bladdera areas and raidiates into my lower back and up my stomach muscles in the front. It makes it hard to stand straight...has anyone else felt this?

    Thanks
    Jo

Thats exactly what mine is like. Often when I have a flare it mimics a kidney infection.

My pain is normally in my lower pelvic area (like cramps). When it's very bad, I explain it like my bladder is full of hot rocks or I am being poked by a hot metal rod. That is the pain that wakes me up at night.

            pain medicine?

Glad you asked this question because my normal flare I don't get the radiating feeling around my kidneys and was wondering why I feel like this today.

I was in remission for a year and then since this decemember every month after my period I go into flare.

This month it is off the charts with regards to pain, to the point I just want to be hooked up to morphin or something.

I called by uro/gyn and am hoping to have her give me the rescue solution because I can't stand it.

What other pain medicines has your dr subscribed to help the pain.
I am taking pyridium but it is not helping.
Tried my baking soda, natrum phos, leafy greens etc
            and nothing is working.

My pain starts in the bladder and ends up radiating around my lower back and down my legs (into my "lap") if I am not able to catch it right away. It's pretty normal to have this referred pain, unfortunately. Hope you feel better soon
