have you tried going to the chiropractor??? it sounds like the baby may be in a position that is bothering your bladder.....i am due August 3rd and there was a point where i could feel the baby bouncing off my bladder and it HURT!!!!!!

try taking a warm bath and using a heating pad on low (it's safe i asked) and as hard as it is try to relax every single muscle in your body and release the tension you are feeling..........i know its hard trust me i've been there just hand in there. also try laying on your right side.....this helps me a TON when im having a flare up...must take pressure off the bladder or something.

I don't know if pregnant women can do acupuncture as a treatment, but it might help. I have never been pregnant, but after finally finding a doc who knew how to treat IC with acupuncture it was like taking a pain pill and enabled me to sleep. I went twice a week and would still be going put it is expensive. I will admit it took four tries before finding someone who could do acupuncture that gave me pain and urgency/frequency relief.

Perhaps, you could ask your doctor if you could do some kind of warm water therapy or just a 20 min. warm bath everyday with Aveeno powder added in.

You are brave and I hope you find some relief that is safe for you and the baby.

It is hard being a mom with IC, but you have one advantage of knowing what is wrong. It might not seem like much, but I've had this for years with no diagnosis and it is so chaotic not knowing. Even though it is still hard aftwards, it is calming to a degree knowing what is wrong and that there is a name for it and it's not all in your head.

Yes, I also panic when I am flaring, wonder if it will go away. Sometimes it is the food or medicine or something that triggers it and sometimes just don't know what happen. But it seems eventually to goes away, it is just hard going through it. I hope soon you will find some comfort soon.

    Hugs, Trishann

Hopefully following the IC diet will help you get through your pregnancy. After that you can take more medications and hopefully begin to feel better.

    Warm healing thoughts,

    Don't know what to think...

I have had IC since about October 06. I found out I was pregnant middle of December and symptoms went away in a snap. Since feb2nd I have been in a flare (well for me anyway). It started with just frequency and now is accompanied by minor pain. I am scared b/c it feels like it will never go away. Is it possible that a flare will never go away? I am 25 and having a very hard time with this. Some days I am so positive and others I am in tears. I feel like things could be worse and I need to pull it together and soon I will be relieved of pain. It is easy for me to say, but very difficult for me t actually do. Does anyone feel this way? I have one instillation and am tking Urised but it doesn't seem to be working. I cannot take anything else at this point due to the pregnancy.

Also, I am scared that this will interfere with me being a mom. Any advice on how to get through this and shake the anxities and tears?
