  • time of day question

    Hi all,
I am much calmer as I write this compared to my first posts over a week ago. When I had IC years ago I was never offered pain relief. I can really see how they medical understanding has evolved. So I am calmer now knowing that I can have a pyridium if I need to and that sleep meds will buy me a few hours of rest. I met with my dr yesterday and he wants to wait to put me on any treatment plan because he thinks I am getting better on my own. We'll see.....My question is, do you feel worse as the day goes on? I seem to be pretty good in the am but as the day progresses the burning starts. I am eating the ic diet (am still on meds for other medical prob - both drs did not think they caused the flare). I am drinking water all day...Do any of you get worse as the day progresses? By night time I am sore and crampy. I would love your imput! Thanks!

    Hi runningshoe,
I am always the best in the a.m and as the day progresses, so do my symptoms. I find if I get home from work, soak in a hot tub with a cup of warm almond milk or mint tea, I can relax and not tense up expecting the symptoms to get worse. Also baking soda in water helps alot. Nothing wrong with wrapping up in a heating pad for a little bit, too. Hope you feel better!

HI! That's great that you are doing better emotionally and the ic is getting better. When I was having more ic pain it would always get worse as the day wore on. I'd always wake up in the morning thinking....AHHH I'm feeling much better today.....but by noon it was starting to hurt and by mid afternoon I'd be grabbing the Azo.
MSM has been a great for me. I haven't had pain in 13 days now.....and that's truly a record! Good luck to you! Roxie

For IC I use Elmiron, Elavil and Freeze dried Aloe Vera (it works likes Elmiron, but naturally)and Azo as needed. I also take Zegerid, Randitine for Barrett's Esophagus. (which causes me to have constant yeast infections!)I take Cymbalta for Neuopathy/Myopathy pain. I use the Climara patch for menopause symptoms. I'm on a very strict diet because of the IC, IBS and Gastric Bypass. I take Primal Defense Probiotics and whole food Iron.
I no longer have the awful urethral pain! I've been using MSM gel now for 4 mo. and haven't had a flare up or the urethra pain.....it's amazing stuff!!:woohoo:
