I woke up feeling really crappy this morning...my bladder was bothering me with lots of frequency and pressure. I've not had this miserable feeling in a really long time and I just couldn't figure it out. You would think that after four years of this I would have a clue!
Of course, I had to travel by plane to the midwest today for my mother-in-law's memorial service. PYridium, xanax and a ton of water made the trip bearable, but I still felt crappy and really cold.
So...when the pyridium was out of my system I did a dip test and discovered it was positive for...you guessed it, nitrates! Turned pink instantly!
My blessed husband just went out to the local pharmacy to fill my prescription for antibiotics. Unfortunately, the prescription is for levaquin and my insurance no longer covers it so we'll have to pay the full price. But, it's totally worth it to make sure the infection is treated as quickly as possible in my sensitive little bladder.

I am sorry to hear about your mother-in-law's passing. I hope your uti clears up quickly.
