  • Nurse called, no UTI

Well, the nurse called and said I dont have a UTI, that my culture was clear. I swear I feel like I have one though. I am in so much pain. The nurse said I really have to get these instillations on Friday. I hope I can last until then. This pain is so bad. My bladder feels like there is a raging fire in there.

I have some lyrica here I am suppose to start taking, just that I am so scared to try these meds. Do you gals think I should try it? What if it makes me feel worse? Pyridium does not do anything for me as far as pain. It actually makes me feel worse as far as the emptying the bladder feeling. All I have is tylenol to take, which does not help either. Maybe I should fo ahead and take the lyrica. I just am at a loss here. Friday is so long away, And what if that instill makes me worse. Oh, I just cant imagine being worse.

SOrry for crying ladies, I am just in so much pain right now. I also have my period since Friday. I am sure that is making it worse. Thanks for listening.

I hope so much the Lyrica will help! Some people have reported it really helps them!

If not, maybe it's time to talk seriously with your doctor about pain management - about a referral maybe to a clinic, or about being prescribed some pain drugs to use when you are in a bad flare.

For me, my best friend when my bladder is hurting is a hot water bottle, filled with nice hot water. One of those red rubber/plastic things that has a stopper you screw into the top? Sometimes they are sold as douchebags or enema bags. Usually they are kind of on the bottom shelves of drugstores or Wal-mart or what have you.

      Hoping you feel better soon,
      Lori
