  • Mornings, Sadness and Golden Seal

I mentioned in an earlier thread how I had been flaring in the mornings for the last few days. It's been so strange this time around. It started Monday morning (very severe) but I took a baking soda bath (during which I burned SO much it was ridiculous) and then I laid down with a heating pad for about fifteen minutes and went to work. As the day progressed, I started to feel better thank God. The same thing happened to me on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and this morning. Tuesday wasn't so bad. Wednesday morning was pretty bad. Thursday was okay. This morning was awful and it didn't start until after I got in the car on my way to a training for work out of town. I usually flare all day and feel better the next day but I have just flared every single morning this week. On the really bad days (Monday, Wednesday and today) I took 2 tylenol 8 hours (800 mg each) and felt better soon after. I also drank a lot of water in a go on those mornings so that may have contributed to the quicker healing too.
I've been trying so hard not to feel down but I sense such a strong sense of weakness; both physically and emotionally. I've been considering different treatments; was looking at bladder instills but after reading recent experiences of other sisters suffering from this illness, I am so skeptical. I am very sensitive to tests; I can't take a blood test without passing out and I get very shaky with nurses and doctors doing other medical exams.
Another thing I was told that was good was golden seal pills. I don't know if that's worked for anyone else but if it has, could you let me know on this thread. I know different treatments vary for different people but just curious about its validity for this illness.
Thanks for hearing me vent God bless you all.

Are you taking any sleep aids? I suggest you look very carefully at what you are eating and drinking before you go to bed --- to make sure there isn't something you're ingesting that's causing you morning pain.

    Sending healing thoughts,
    Donna
